Our mission is to rescue all Dobermans, Doberman mixes and other breeds of dogs, from death and abandonment and find them permanent, loving, forever homes through our foster to adopt program. We are a 501C3 , non-profit animal rescue, based in Minnesota. We believe the need to rescue exists not only on a local basis, but more broadly across the United States and the world. With a passion for dogs and over 40 years working with and loving the Doberman breed specifically, w e can truly say we know Dobermans! Let us help you if you have a Doberman in need of rescue, or if you want to adopt, we can make recommendations for the best dog for your home!
“When I look into the eyes of an animal, I do not see an animal.I see a living being. I see a friend. I feel a soul.”― Our adoptable rescued dogs, live with foster families until they are adopted, learning basic manners of home life, while being nurtured, loved and cared for just like one of our own dogs. UDR rescue dogs also have the BONUS luxury of being boarded when fosters go on vacation, enjoying doggy daycare, playing with other dogs, and even attending formal obedience classes while in foster care! All important skills for rescue dogs who may have never experienced such things in their past life and helps get them socialized in a safe, formal setting. These kinds of exposures help get them adopted and gives us the ability to gauge how they behave in various situations!
Doberman Ranch play! All our rescue dogs are fully vetted, vaccinated, spayed or neutered, on preventative for flea, tick and heart-worms, and micro-chipped prior to adoption. For puppies we wait till they are 6 months old to alter by our vets. We address any health issues, big or little, that may present itself while in foster care.

Fostering saves lives Go to our adoptable dogs page to see those dogs who need a foster home! Afraid of getting attached? Consider the alternative....if no one helps they have no chance at life, those dogs in shelters will be euthanized as its a numbers game for them. I would rather cry watching a foster dog leave my home, filled with happiness then cry because no one stepped up to help and the dog died in a shelter, sad, alone and frightened.
