YOU can be the difference by fostering just one Doberman!

Without foster homes, we cannot help the many dogs in need of assistance.

Consider fostering or foster to adopt:

  • The more people who open their homes, the more animals that can be saved
  • Fosters get a trial run of life with a dog if you are considering committing to adopting
  • Fostering cost very little as our rescue pays for all food and vet care for your foster dog
  • Fostering opens up a spot in the shelter for another dog in need
  • You will be your foster dogs "Hero", foster animals are appreciative of knowing they are safe
  • Fostering is short term, only a few weeks to months, no long commitment

What we ask from you

We ask that our foster homes provide love, stability and affection.  The more sociable and trained a dog is, the easier he or she is to place. Periodic updates and photos are appreciated, and they can be used to keep the website listings current which help generate interest in your foster dog. Occasional driving to Meet and Greet, events, and vet appointments may be required. Mileage and all expenses not reimburse by the rescue are deductible on your Federal taxes-consult with your tax advisor!

~~As a father and son walked along the beach after the high tide began to ebb, they noticed starfish baking in the hot sun. The boy stopped, picked up a crustacean and flung it into the ocean. A few minutes later he tossed another one in the water, and then later another.

“Son, what are you doing?” the man asked.

“I’m saving starfish.” the little boy said.

The father gestured to the beach littered with thousands of dying sea creatures. “There are thousands of them. What difference could you possibly make?”

The boy picked up a starfish. He ran fingers across the rough surface and then threw it into the water.

The starfish landed with a small splash and the boy smiled broadly. “It made a difference to that one.”
