Adoption Pending! Cliff's adoption fee is fully sponsored by a wonderful donor, but this boy is not for just anyone!!!! Please read....Cliff was born into rescue on 12-26-2018 and just turned 1 years old. Cliff has been adopted and returned twice and is a complex boy who will need a strong leader who understands the Doberman/Pyrenees breeds. Cliff is a very sweet guy to those people he trust and adores, he is very intelligent, but Cliff tends to be very protective which can often be the case in both breeds. The Doberman and Great Pyrenees are both watch dog breeds, meant to protect their people or flock. Cliff has completed two obedience class's at Canine Coach and he passed with flying colors, he is a smart cookie! Cliff is currently being fostered in a home with another dog to help build his confidence. Cliff LOVES other dogs. Cliff tends to be shy and unsure of new people and experiences. Cliff is fully crate and potty trained. Cliff loves to go for walks, does great at doggy daycare and is very willing to learn new things. Cliff is currently working with a behaviorist on building confidence and reducing his overly protective nature. To whom ever adopts him he will be a loyal and true friend, but he will need a human that understands his quirks and is willing to work with him. Cliff is neutered, current on vaccines, and micro-chipped. Cliff will bond with his person, who must be and experienced dog person. Cliff will be overly protective, more like a guard dog in the home then a welcoming door greeter. Cliff will not be able to be around other people outside of his personal pack and no children. While he is ready to find a own home to call his own, it will be a one in million home. Cliff will be 100% loyal to the person who adopts him, but his person must be an experienced dog person, willing to continue working through his issues of lack of confidence and overly protective nature, no children, a fenced yard, preferably another confident canine in the home. Cliff will protect his home and property from just about anything so a home that understands he is not going to be the dog that loves everyone who enters his home.
